Some November Woodpeckers............
A female Black Woodpecker at Onuma this morning.......................
There was a very active and vocal pair of them but it was very difficult to get close for a clear shot.
Always some twigs in the way ot a terrible angle.
This is a male White-backed Woodpecker:
This posed one or two times against beautiful autumnal backgrounds but as is usual with me the focus/exposure was way off.
Japanese Pygmy and Great^spotted Woodpeckers were also around but I didn't see or hear amy Grey-headeds,

ReplyDeleteThanks Margaret............
DeleteThe White-backed Woody shot is a stunner ! I agree it can be difficult to line these natural shots up with no branches in the way.... still, for the WBW you did it ! And the Black Woodpeckers' star quality overcomes visual clutter...
