In July we made a short trip to north Hokkaido................
This is an annual thing and the 5th consecutive time we've been up there.
This year was a bit shorter than normal but still reasonably successful. Siberian Rubythroat is always the star attraction............
This year we found a good spot for the local race of Yellow Wagtail................
And some other common stuff:
Middendorffs Grasshopper Warbler..........
Long-tailed Rosefinch..............
And Black-browed Reed Warbler.............
You certainly got a lot of bird that were singing Gorgeous images Stuart

DeleteThe Rubythroats would be in my "highlights" too - but the Long-tailed Rosefinch is my favourite.
