Seven
All the regular 7 winter gull species were at Kamiiso today.....................
Here are 4 of the more interesting ones.
The above Glaucous Gull was my first of the winter. It was a bit scruffy as you can see in the next shot.
There were at least 2 Glaucous-winged Gulls.............
There were lots of Black-headed Gulls everywhere..............
And several Common Gull too.............
Lots of Great Egret too. 5 at Kamiiso, I even noticed 4 roosting in the pine trees in the tiny park near my flat last night............
Lots of common duck species around and a bit further down the coast I saw a couple of flocks of Black Scoter.
The winter crows are here too, here's a flock of Rook high in the sky.
Beautiful clear weather as you can see, But we need a cold snap to bring more winter stuff south. I wonder if the eagles have arrived at Yakumo yet? I won't be going up that way for a couple of weeks though.............

Nice Gulls - the Common Gulls look interesting - they are uncommon down here....
