An early winter Friday afternoon........

There were 2 Great Egrets on the river today................


And this immature Black-crowned Night Heron has chosen not to fly south with all the others..............

There have been quite a few Salmon in the (very) small river this year, Several were stll alive but this dead one provided a big meal for a Slaty-backed Gull.

Not many small birds about at all. Certainly no winter visitors yet............
