50 almost up
Holy s**t: I turn 50 tomorrow.
In honour of this landmark I looked through all my photos (well with 1 click and a 5 second wait) to find all photos with the filename '0050'.
Canon's default numbering system is from 0-9,999. Over the last 11 or 12 years I've taken tens of thousands of photos so some files have the same file name.
All 5 of those named '0050' showed up on the search.
The top one is a Black-faced Spoonbill from a couple of years ago.
This White-tailed Eagle was almost 10 years ago............
This Harlequin Duck/Black-necked Grebe combo was from 6 or 7 years ago............
This Spectacled Guillemot was about 4 years ago:
And this female Baikal Teal was from earlier this very year..................
Wow, 50. Food for thought.

ReplyDeleteDad
Imagine how you'll feel when I'm 60........
DeleteHappy birthday! I know.....it's a scary thought, but it's just a number:) Stay young!
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris. Of course in my mind I'm still about 27. Then I look in the mirror.........
DeleteYou are half way there. Still you have 50 years more to enjoy birding.
ReplyDeleteBTW, we are waiting for you to watch seabirds in Volcano Bay. See you soon someday on board.
Thanks! I'd love to come on some boat trips but I often work on weekends so it's a bit difficult.
DeleteYour so lucky to have so much birding and photography experience. Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteThanks Russell........
Delete0050 is a great idea for such a birthday-themed post. Anyway, belated "Happy Birthday" and thanks for all the entertaining posts so far !
ReplyDeleteThanks John. I was surprised that each of the 5 was an OK shot actually.
