2018 late Summer trip #2
Although we stayed in Oshamanbe waders were pretty thin on the ground compared to Yakumo...............
Only 4 species in fact.
There was a lone Common Greenshank.
The weather was grey and very windy. There were only 2 Red-necked Stints around...............
Several Common Sandpiper and a lone Terek Sandpiper were the only other shorebirds present.
Not much else around either. a single juvenile Black-headed Gull being the only thing of interest.

The waders look doubly appealing with their toes in the surf....
ReplyDeleteWell they aren't called waders for nothing....
DeleteYes, but ours seem to wade mostly in sludge !
