Waders in the smog
Strong west winds have blown over hazy smoggy air from China...................
Luckily they blew some waders over too.
On a small river in the ricefields there were 3 Black Winged Stilt. They were skittish..........
Sadly the light wasn't good, the riverbanks were a little high and the aforementioned air conditions didn't help either.
There were also 2 Grey Tailed Tattler and about a dozen Wood Sandpiper...............
A lone Little Egret kept the waders company..............
A lot of my shots were out of focus today. I'm a bit worried about my 7D MK2, many folk complained about autofocus issues when it first came out and sometimes in AI servo/AF single point expansion I can fire off whole bursts which are soft and blurry even though the focus points are covering the bird and the shutter speed is high enough. Admittedly some of these particular shots were at 700mm with the lens resting on the car window in dodgy light (and of course the narrow depth of field on such a rig).................
Is it my poor technique? Am I expecting too much? Is there a small problem with my camera? My upcoming trip to England may give me an excuse to get the 7D MK2 into Canon for a check-up (my old 7D wll be enough for England).................
