We went camping near Tomakomai for a couple of nights................
The bird pool in the forest was a bit quiet but this female (?) Japanese Robin put in several appearances..........
It was very very dark as per usual. High ISO/low shutter speed..................
This bird seems to be highly prized by Japanese bird photographers but surprisingly I was the only person there to witness it. At this spot there are usually 4 or 5 people waiting all day but on this day there was only me.
Beaut Pictures. yes, crowds line up here in Niigata to see one of these shadowy characters.
