There are 4 of these in an old quarry near Dunbar just now - sadly we have hurricane force winds and heavy rain (at least its warm 10-12 degrees C). Stunning shot.
Great capture. I have only ever seen one owl in flight during daylight hours and that was because it was attacked at its roost by a group of mad crows. Amazing to see it in the open like that.

His Stuart, they are much commoner in the UK than here I think...........this shot was actually a big crop but it was the best I could get.
